Slow Land’s initial action and constant focus is on supplyin’ meals, resources, and harm reduction kits while buildin’ community with folks in need of support.
We focus on fresh food and education accessibility for all. our goal is to grow our farm to truck feedin’ program while we also build gardens inside detention facilities to supply incarcerated folks with plant education.
We host monthly meals served out of the back of our trucks. based in pot luck family style meal, we ask for friends to come together to share food and resources and conversation.
Fresh food is life changin’ and home cookin’ is a love language quickly lost when people consider others strangers. We grow our own food, prepare it, and share stories over meals in parkin’ lots or door to door so we can get to know folks.
Food insecurity is way more common than most know. We rely on our farm neighbors and land owners to help subsidize our meals when we can’t supply all the food.
Everyone is welcome to join and we are always lookin’ for donations from food to clothes to money to pay for utensils or any harm reduction items.
